SOMT140520ER Carbide Shoulder Milling Insert
90° shoulder milling insert with positive rake geometry, 14 mm cutting edge length, 5.2 mm thickness and 2.0 mm corner radius. Optimized for roughing, semi-finishing, ramping and contouring on CNC milling centers.
Sub-micron grain carbide substrate with multi-layer PVD coating provides sharp edge retention and wear resistance when machining carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel and cast iron. The ER chipbreaker delivers stable chip evacuation and low cutting forces at feeds 0.10–0.30 mm/tooth and depths up to 5 mm.
