Carbide dovetail end mills are solid-carbide, precision-ground tools used to machine V-shaped female dovetails for rails, slides, locking joints and precision fixturing. They are preferred in high-precision industries because of superior rigidity, heat resistance and dimensional stability compared to HSS.
Common industry angles: 45°, 50°, 55°, 60° (also special angles on request). Angle tolerance drives assembly fit and sliding behaviour. For aerospace & gunsmithing, aim for ±5 arc minutes; general fixtures can accept ±0.1°.
